Getting Started with A²D

Welcome to A²D! This guide will help you start using the Agentic Asset Designer to create, test, and publish MCP servers and Agent Cards.

What is A²D?

A²D is a no-code platform that enables you to:

  • Design MCP Servers - Create Model Context Protocol servers with tools, resources, and prompts
  • Build Agent Cards - Define Agent-to-Agent (A2A) interaction specifications
  • Test with Mocks - Create realistic mock scenarios before deployment
  • Ensure Compliance - Built-in design rules validate quality and consistency
  • Publish to Exchange - Share your work on Anypoint Exchange

Quick Start Steps

Follow these steps to begin using A²D:

  1. Sign Up - Create your free account
  2. Login - Access your workspace
  3. Explore the Dashboard - Learn the interface

What You Can Do

Create MCP Servers

Design Model Context Protocol servers that expose:

  • Tools - Functions AI agents can execute
  • Resources - Data sources agents can read
  • Prompts - Interaction templates for agents

Choose from three creation methods:

  • Import from existing HTTP-Streamable endpoint
  • Convert OpenAPI specifications
  • Build mock servers from scratch

Build Agent Cards

Define how AI agents interact with each other:

  • Skills - Capabilities your agent provides
  • Examples - Sample interactions
  • Input/Output Modes - Supported communication formats

Test & Validate

  • Create mock scenarios with realistic responses
  • Test endpoints before publishing
  • Check compliance with design rules
  • Validate against MCP protocol standards

Publish to Anypoint Exchange

Publish your assets to Anypoint Exchange or keep them in your organization. All members of an organization can see and edit all assets (MCP servers and Agent Cards) in that org; use the organization switcher in the sidebar to view another org’s assets.

  • OAuth2 and Basic Auth support

Prerequisites

To use A²D, you’ll need:

  • Email Address - For account creation
  • Modern Web Browser - Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge (latest versions)
  • Internet Connection - To access the hosted platform

Optional:

  • Anypoint Platform Account - If you want to publish to Anypoint Exchange
